Pantaloons have embarked on an ambitious plan of increasing their current sales turnover by more than five times in 2005. Their existing retail management systems could not scale to meet the needs of the business growth strategy, especially one built around a multi-channel customer approach. SmartShop was chosen as the enterprise-wide integrated information management system. The implementation of SmartShop has allowed the Pantaloons group to track customer transactions, manage inventory, create loyalty programs and monitor buying trends. But above all, the integration of their multi-channel business model has led to the availability of accurate and consistent data which will enable better decision making by Pantaloons. |
